With so much to do in the area we’ve picked out 10 things to do outdoors and they are in no particular order.
- Rock pooling a South Landing, Flamborough. A beautiful expanse of beach where you can enjoy a picnic after exploring the rock pools. The beach is dog friendly but please keep dogs away from wildlife.
- Watch the penguins at Sewerby Hall, near Bridlington. The Hunboldt penguins are on the vulnerable list and visitors have the opportunity to watch the keepers feeding them every day,
- Saddle up at Woldgate Trekking Centre, near Bridlington. Escorted treks available through woodland and open countryside
- Play giant games and get lost in the maze at Burton Agnes Hall. Situated only a mile away from West End Farm Cottages the games & maze are perfect for visitors both young and old
- Board the land train along Bridlington Seafront. With routes both north and south of Bridlington you can enjoy a ride along the seafront from the park and ride at South Cliff up to Bridlington Spa or East Riding Leisure up to Sewerby it’s a fun way to get around Bridlington.
- Visit nesting birds at RSPB, Bempton Cliffs. Between April and July the huge, white cliffs become England’s largest seabird city. Visit the visitor centre or you could take a trip on the Yorkshire Belle out of Bridlington Harbour.
- Discover Rare Breed animals at Sledmere House, near Driffield. Have family fun visiting a host of animals listed on the Rare Breeds Survival Trust from sheep to shire horses.
- Visit a tiny world at Bondville Model Village in Sewerby. A magical model village hidden away near Sewerby Cliffs with over 200 buildings set over an acre of land.
- Play mini golf at North Marine Crazy Golf and putting green. Maybe set up
